Profile Name Change Update

To long-standing backers of Evil Hat, I apologize for the up-to-15-other copies of this message you're going to see. We've asked Kickstarter to change our profile name to drop the "Fred Hicks /" part off the front of it, and they sound agreeable to it but want us to update every project with a notification and explanation of the change before they'll do it. The reasons for the change are (at least) threefold:

• I'm often not the one actually running our Kickstarters these days; it's a team effort now and I'm only sometimes on that team
  
• I'm not necessarily going to be at Evil Hat forever, so it'd be weird if Evil Hat's KS account made it look otherwise
  
• The formatting of the profile name "Fred Hicks / Evil Hat Productions" means that every dang project has launched as Such-And-So by Fred Hicks / Evil Hat Productions, and... it's very rare that I'm actually the primary author (if author at all) on our projects here, so it reads pretty misleading (to me) to suggest that these wonderful games are "by" me. They're published by a company I founded, the company running our Kickstarters, so that's where the focus should be.
  

Wow, you got to the end of the list? You really are a dedicated fan! Fingers crossed — soon our profile name should be simply "Evil Hat Productions", and you too can experience the glorious mostly-irrelevant change as well.

Almost a year since we started this Kickstarter campaign the journey is finally complete!

Available in stores now

AGON is available to the public in several places:

• PDF only at https://johnharper.itch.io/agon
• Print and PDF on the Evil Hat Store
• Through your Friendly Local Gaming Store. If your FLGS doesn't carry Evil Hat games, you can direct them here to find them through distribution: https://www.evilhat.com/home/for-retailers/

Note that all copies of AGON will also include the stretch goal islands as part of the digital download package.

Print on Demand

The Print on Demand (POD) versions of AGON are now available on DriveThruRPG. Backers at the Path of Glory levels and above will receive a code on BackerKit to print them at cost shortly after this update goes out. 

The POD copies are softcover books manufactured by the One Bookshelf printers.

Stretch Goal Islands all in one place

So you don't have to download the islands in five different files, we've removed the BackerKit downloads Agon Stretch Goal Islands (Part 1-5) and replaced them with a single download Agon Stretch Goal Islands (Complete) that has all of the stretch goal islands in it.

With that, all of our rewards and stretch goals have been delivered and the Kickstarter campaign is complete. Thank you heroes for going on this journey with us. You made AGON possible!

Greetings Heroes,

Our final stretch goal island is complete!

Agrios, Hekate’s playground, hosts a tapestry of thick cypress forests that shelter a mysterious abundance of flora and fauna. To desecrate Agrios is to desecrate Hekate herself, and should any fool make such a misstep the land herself will swallow the heretic in her jaws.

Can your heroes help the fallen before their memories are washed away by a jealous king? Agrios, by Jeeyon Shim, is available in the BackerKit digital download page.

Shipping update

Nearly all of the backer shipments have gone out. In some cases, shipments have been held at facilities for extended periods of time or been significantly delayed. We've done some research into this and in most cases, the answer is just to wait.  We thank your for patience as the books arrive, we know USPS is doing there best!

Print on Demand

Our Print on Demand codes are scheduled for release in October. We'll be sending the codes out to all Backers at the Path of Glory and above levels.

Printing Complete! Backerkit orders locking soon!

Greetings heroes,

We have fantastic news. Our printer has completed manufacturing of AGON and they are shipping the books to our distributor next week. We should have backer shipping timeline estimates once our distributor has had an opportunity to receive the order into inventory. That means we'll likely send out an update in early to mid-August with shipping timeline estimates.

In the meantime, so that we have the order ready for them, we're going to be locking orders in BackerKit this Friday (July 31st). When that happens you'll have 48 hours to make any changes to your order (make sure to check your shipping address if it's changed this year) and then the orders will be locked and the pre-order closed. (Public release of the book is expected sometime in October, after you all have gotten yours during August and possibly early September, depending on the overall timeline.)

Another island in the mist

You know, before I heard word from our printer, I was getting worried that we'd complete all our stretch goals before the book was done. That's because Misha B just turned in Persephone's Garden, which is our second to last stretch goal!

John is putting it into layout now and we'll release it with the next update. Happy to share more islands of adventure with you!
